SubscriberHello,
I made a stress analysis for a support and the von mises stress is a little too big, can i use Topology Optimization to add more material, to enlarge mass/volume of the support, to the stress is acceptable? Or Topology Optimization can be used just to remove material?

The simple idea of the topology optimization is theremoval of less efficient materials from a structure and getting most efficient shape as per the constraints you applied and objective you declared. If you think you need more material at some place, you have to add material initially and then do topology optimization.
Also, you can do DOE study, parameterize the thickness or any geometry feature to get proper value of dimension.
