SubscriberHello,
I am facing some issues solving the errors on my model (attached with this discussion). When I went through similar topics in the forum it said it is regarding the contact regions supporting the boundary conditions. Can anyone go through my model and suggest any solutions please?
Best Regards,
Ankitha.

SubscriberYou have a lot of work to do in SpaceClaim or DesignModeler to convert all the thin-walled solid body parts, such has this box shown below, into mid-surfaces sheet bodies.
All the bracing ribs should be converted to midsurface models.
Only the Top Slab and Bottom Slab should remain as solids.
It's always best to say what version of Ansys you are using. I could tell from opening the solution information that you are using 2019 R3. If you tell me that, then I won't open the file in newer versions. That way, if I make a change, I can pass it back to you in a way that you can open it.

SubscriberReread the first sentence of my previous post, "You have a lot of work to do". I suggest you get started. If you get stuck, you can ask more questions. What I meant by the last sentence is if you get stuck and attach a model, I can attach your model with a small fix to my reply. But what I describe above is a major rewrite of the entire model, starting with geometry, it is not a small fix.

SubscriberHello! I have paused working on the model due to several diversions at work place but anyway I restarted to work on it again. I have used the midsurface tool with automatic setting by keeping the threshold of 0.25 in - 6.9 in. Could you please check if I can do that way please? As I could not have a successful run even after that. I have attached the modified geometry file. I am using ANSYS 2021 R1.

SubscriberI suppressed a lot of items so I could show you some examples of how to get something working.
You can create multiple modules and get each one working then connect them together in a new module.

SubscriberHello Peter! Thank you so much for showing me how to work it out. I have created a similar modal analysis with the suppressed parts in your example one. However, I am unable to link this new modal analysis to the existing static structural to run it together. Could you please have a look? Also, I did not create any manual contact connection like yours because I just wanted to see how it works. I do have a question though. The rebar I have used in top and bottom slabs has to have a contact or it works fine the way it is now? Please let me know.
Thank you in advance!
