I am using a multicomponent injection to simulate a droplet with water content, where all the water will evaporate and the remaining solid part stays airborne. Fortunately, I can see my simulation is working perfectly. But when I see some discussion where someone suggested using "DEFINE_DPM_VP_EQUILIB" and "DEFINE_DPM_HEAT_MASS" for heat and mass transfer in case of multicomponent injection. I also tried that but it results in a segmentation error after successful compilation. I wondered if is it okay to just stick with default law-7 for heat and mass transfer instead of the UDFs. I am using ANSYS 17.2 for my simulation.

Ansys EmployeeSure you can stick with the built-in models. Actually you might also use a Droplet Model and just set the volatile content to less than 100% if you want.
