On the left is what shows up in Workbench 2019 R3, and the right is what we're getting in Workbench 2021 R1.

Couple thoughts:
Check on your license server that there is a firewall exception for ansyslmd.exe This file exists under c:\program files\Ansys Inc\shared files\licensing\winx64.
Check your license file will allow 2021 R1 to run.
(The date in bold will need to be after the release date of 2021 R1)
