Heat Transfer in Fluids

From power generation to HVAC systems, from electronics cooling to food preparation, heat transfer is everywhere. In fact, heat transfer facilitates the existence of life on our planet. In this learning track, we will explore the fundamentals of heat transfer in fluid flows. We will begin by looking at the three different modes of heat transfer - conduction, convection, and radiation. We will then go over some key concepts in thermal conduction before moving to a detailed discussion on convection. We will discuss forced convection in both internal and external flows and learn how heat exchangers work. We will wrap up the learning track by going over natural convection. Alternate video link.
