The Ansys Innovation Space website recently experienced a database corruption issue. While service has been restored there appears to have been some data loss from November 13. We are still investigating and apologize for any issues our users may have as a result.

Getting Started with Ansys Fluent - Basics

Ansys Fluent is an industry-leading, general-purpose computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software used to model fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, chemical reactions, and more. With Ansys Fluent, you can create advanced physics models and analyze a variety of fluids phenomena, all in a customizable and intuitive space. Fluent offers a modern, user-friendly interface that streamlines the CFD process — from pre- to post-processing — within a single-window workflow. In this Learning Track, you will learn how to use Ansys Fluent to perform basic CFD simulations. You will start your learning journey by understanding how to use Ansys Discovery for creating and preparing the geometry need for a CFD simulation. Next, using the Watertight Geometry workflow built into Ansys Fluent, you will learn how to create CFD simulation-ready volume meshes. Next, through a set of six courses, you will learn in great detail about the various aspects of Fluent that help you simulate fluid flow problem such as physics model setup, numerical model setup, post-processing solution results, best practices to follow to perform accurate CFD simulations, and much more. Note: This course has been created for use with the Windows version of Ansys Fluent. For those who want to use the Linux version instead, you will need to use .pmdb geometry files instead of the original .dsco geometry files. For all the relevant simulations, these .pmdb geometry files have been made available at this link.
