Reducing Number of Injected Parcels at a Surface Using the Standard Release Method — Lesson 7

How can the number of injected parcels at a surface be reduced in a simple way when using the standard release method?

The parcel release methods are available when you are using unsteady particle tracking. However, for atomizer injections, file injections, or injections that use the DEFINE_DPM_INJECTION_INIT user-defined function, the Fluent solver automatically uses the default standard parcel release method. Other parcel release methods are not available. The standard release method will calculate the number of parcels based on the number of streams, mass flow rate, and particle mass. For a surface injection, the number of streams is directly related to the number of the facets.
