Ansys Discovery Modeling Tutorial - Smartphone Geometry - Lesson 5

In this lesson, you will learn how to create a solid model of a smartphone using Discovery.

What is a Smartphone?

A smartphone is the most commonly used personal gadget for communication and entertainment.

Modeling Approach:

Our approach to modeling will begin by analyzing the technical drawing. Download the technical drawing and components required for creating this smartphone model here. Once we understand its characteristics, we can outline a plan for creating the smartphone model. With a plan in place, we can begin creating the model. Having created the base model, we will then import a component and assemble it.

Recap:

This smartphone modeling session covered several different topics. You utilized the Combine, Move (ruler) and Round tools to create and modify the geometry of the solid body. You assembled components by importing them and applying constraints such as Align and Orient. Finally, you made alterations to the appearance of the design with the Style Override option.
