Ansys Fluent is an industry-leading fluid simulation software known for its advanced physics modeling capabilities and best-in-class accuracy. In the customizable and intuitive workspace of Fluent, we can use advanced physics models and analyze a variety of fluids phenomenon like turbulence, heat transfer, etc. The next step after obtaining a converged CFD solution is post-processing the solution data in order to extract meaningful results.
This course will guide you on how to use the Results tab of Fluent for post-processing CFD simulation results. This course has been divided into four lessons. In the first lesson, we will discuss the different kinds of surfaces that can be created using the Surface group of the Results tab for post-processing. The qualitative post-processing using the Graphics group is covered in the second lesson of this course, in which we will discuss creating and displaying contours, vectors, pathlines, and iso-surfaces. The third lesson deals with the quantitative post-processing using the Plots and Reports group, in which we will talk about plotting solution data using XY plots, among other things. In the last lesson of this course, we will perform a hands-on simulation demo of a forced convection airflow over a heat sink, with a special focus on understanding the different post-processing tools available in Fluent.
