Overview of MAPDL — Lesson 1

Ansys Mechanical APDL is the general-purpose finite element solver that is used to perform a wide range of simulations such as stress analysis, spectrum analysis, vibro-acoustics, and even heat transfer analysis. In this lesson, we will provide an overview of its capabilities, a brief history, the APDL syntax, and the motivation for learning and using APDL scripting. We will also cover details of downloading and installing the product and running a sample script.
