Frequency Based Fatigue using Harmonic Analysis - Lesson 4

Many components around us experience fluctuating or harmonic loading which may cause fatigue failure. Such failure can occur at stress levels much lower than those required to cause yielding of components. Hence, it becomes important to study the fatigue life of the components. In Ansys Mechanical, fatigue calculations are performed using the Fatigue Tool. This video lesson will discuss how to use this tool to determine the fatigue life and damage caused by the harmonic loading. We have a short lecture followed by a workshop walkthrough example showing how to implement the points discussed.
