The Integrals in Terms of Degrees of Freedom — Lesson 7

In this lesson, we will address the three integrals in the finite-dimensional weak form. The integral is over the physical element and elemental volume is referred to as the physical element. We will address the change of variables in the parent subdomain. The elemental volume will be defined.

In this video, we are continuing with integrals in finite-dimensional weak form. We will use matrix-vector notation for local degree of freedom (DOFs) numbering. For the element, the DOFs are used to interpolate the weighting function using the basis function. The element conductivity matrix, also known as the diffusivity matrix, is defined based on the physical problem we are trying to solve.
