Intro to Basic Transmission Line Structures - Lesson 1

Alternate video link.

This lesson demonstrates that the performance of any given transmission line can be described by a variety of parameters, such as supported mode structures, bandwidth of single mode operation, mode cutoff frequencies, characteristic impedances of supported modes and phase velocities of guided waves in those supported modes. We will cover the basic characteristics and deign equations of coaxial cables, microstrtip transmission lines, parallel plate waveguides and rectangular waveguides.
