Monitoring Applied RPM in the Case of Time-Varying Rotational Speed Input

For a time-varying rotational speed as an input, can the RPM being applied in the case be monitored?

For cases having rotational sliding/moving zones or rotational rigid body motion or rotating walls, especially where a time-varying rotational speed is supplied by a profile file, it may be desired to monitor the RPM values actually picked up by the solver to verify if the values are getting applied as desired.
