Solving RBD Analysis Successfully — Lesson 3

How do you resolve the "General solver failure" error while running a rigid body dynamics analysis?

If you're encountering the general error even with models that previously worked, chances are that an RSM process was not properly terminated, which may be preventing the solver to run anything new.

Try the following steps:

1. If you have any workbench sessions, please save the model and exit WB.
2. Open Windows Task Manager, look for the processes “Ans.RSM.xxx,” and manually terminate them.
3. Open the Workbench session, open the RBD model that was running earlier, try solving it.
