How to post-process Ansys Autodyn / Explicit Dynamics Euler Domains with Ansys EnSight?
Answer - After loading a single result file from Autodyn or Explicit Dynamics in EnSight you have full access to the full transient results located in the same directory. This works nicely for a mesh that deforms but it does not work reliably for an Euler domain where cells are deactivated depending on the intersection with solid bodies. EnSight can process variable meshes but the Autodyn reader cannot extract the information correctly.
You can use the steps described in the attached document to write a Python script for EnSight that allows the correct processing of Euler domains. The script is not provided, just the necessary steps are shown.
