Example Device

The car projection lamp is designed by Zemax and simulated by Ansys Speos. We’ll use the car projection lamp module as an example to demonstrate how to set up a model, run simulations, and combine the simulation results in Ansys Speos.

Modeling

We use Zemax to optimize the lens and use the projection lens tool to create the projection lens and set all the parameters in Ansys Speos. Otherwise, we can also use the Rayteng tools to import the lens parameters from Zemax to Ansys Speos and create the same lens as Zemax.

Material

Before running the simulation, we had to set up the material for each object. This video will demo how to set the parameters of material including Volume and surface optical properties in the course.
