How to Create Local Mesh Refinement in Ansys Fluent Meshing — Lesson 2

In CFD simulations, sometimes it is necessary to create refined mesh in specific regions to ensure an efficient capture of the complex flow physics such as wakes and shear layers in those regions. These refinements can be achieved using BOIs, FOIs, and the Create Local Refinement Regions task. In this lesson we will learn how to use BOI and FOI size controls methods available under the Add Local Sizing task. Additionally, we will also learn about the Create Local Refinement Regions task of the Ansys Fluent Meshing Watertight Geometry workflow, which is used for refining the mesh in local regions such as wakes and boundaries.
