How to use Expressions in Ansys Fluent — Lesson 2
When performing CFD simulations, there can be cases where it is necessary for boundary values, source terms, material properties, and other important parameters to be specified as nonuniform mathematical functions of time/space, in which they depend on conditions in a different location or on other solution variables. Such complex functions can be created in Ansys Fluent by using Expressions. Expressions can also be used for customizing/organizing your Ansys Fluent workflows, creating new variables for post-processing, use in parametric workflows, and much more. In this lesson, you will learn how to apply mathematical expressions in the various Ansys Fluent panels using the Ansys Fluent Expression Language, what Named Expressions are, and how to implement them in your Ansys Fluent simulation workflows for streamlining your process.
