How to use Field Functions in Ansys Fluent — Lesson 1

Ansys Fluent is a general-purpose tool for simulating Fluid flow. While Ansys Fluent has built-in capabilities to cover most situations, there may be cases that require special customization, like imposing a spatially varying velocity profile at an inlet boundary or creating your own field variables for the purpose of post-processing. Such cases can be handled using the User-Defined Tab of Ansys Fluent. In this lesson, you will learn how to use the Field Functions group of Ansys Fluent for defining new field variables, selecting or defining units convenient for the user, and creating input and output parameters for parametric studies.
