How to Improve Surface Mesh Quality – Lesson 7

In addition to making sure that the created surface mesh correctly captures the underlying computer-aided design (CAD) geometry, it is also essential for the mesh to be of good quality. A good-quality surface mesh has a direct influence on the quality of the volume mesh, which in turn can significantly impact the solution’s stability. In this lesson, we will understand how to evaluate surface mesh quality and use the Improve Surface Mesh task to improve quality, if required. We will also discuss other best practices such as adding local sizing to improve the surface mesh quality.
