Overview — Lesson 1
This lesson introduces you to a novel inductor design with a multi-material magnetic core. Multi-material design slows down magnetic saturation when DC bias is applied to an inductor, thus maintaining high inductance density at high DC bias. This method helps improve the power density of a power converter. Analysis of a multi-material toroidal inductor in Maxwell will be detailed in the following video.
