Droplet Constellation — Lesson 10

A Droplet Constellation is a unique configuration of satellites. With eight satellites, three “droplets” on North America, Europe and Asia can have constant coverage. As soon as one satellite exits the droplet another one enters.

Common Uses and Benefits: Constant coverage of a desired latitude and longitude; allows the use of fixed antennas rather than pointing to save costs.
