Strain Tensor - Lesson 4

In an earlier lesson, we learned the difference between true and engineering strains in a 1D state. But deformations take place in all three dimensions. So, it's important to know how the deformation is represented in all directions.

In this lesson, we will learn the tensorial representation of strain and explore if there are ways of simplifying it without losing information.
