The workshop demonstrates how to connect a parametric Ansys Discovery project to Ansys optiSLang® process integration and design optimization software for a parametric variation analysis using the Discovery node. For this workshop, we will conduct a Multi-Objective Optimization of a Truck Suspension System.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Connect a parametric Discovery project to Ansys optiSLang software. (Solver Wizard)
  • Rename imported parameters and how to convert their units.
  • Use the Optimization Wizards in optiSLang to set up the Multi-Objective Optimization.
  • Change standard postprocessing to interactive with 3D plots.
  • Find one of the optimal designs from the Pareto front and open it in Ansys Discovery™ 3D product simulation software.

Prerequisites:

Basic knowledge about Ansys optiSLang software is recommended which can be obtained by attending the Ansys optiSLang Getting Started. Besides Ansys optiSLang, you should be familiar with Ansys Discovery software.
