Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Tax Operations – UK Tax Compliance
- Manage and review corporate tax returns and filings for all UK subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
- Preparation tax provision for financial statements of all UK subsidiaries.
- Oversee tax payment and forecasting processes for UK entities.
- Support external tax advisors and coordinate with HMRC on queries and audits.
- Ensure compliance with UK tax legislation, including transfer pricing documentation.
- Management R&D claim process for UK subsidiaries and coordinate with consultants.
- Lead implementation VAT declaration portal in EMEA (Vertex)
2. US Tax Accounting & Reporting
- Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes under ASC 740 for UK entities in coordination with the EMEA tax director and US tax team.
- Prepare and validate tax accounting entries and deferred tax and FIN48 provision calculations.
- Assist with SOX compliance requirements related to income tax.
- Collaborate with controllership team and finance team during and quarter-end closes.
- Contribute to the preparation of global tax packages and reporting for consolidation purposes.
3. Tax Advisory – UK & International
- Provide proactive tax advice to business stakeholders on UK and cross-border projects, new business models, and transactions.
- Monitor and assess the impact of Pillar 2 and global minimum tax rules on the UK operations; assist in compliance readiness and implementation.
- Participate in international tax restructuring projects, including entity rationalization, intercompany arrangements, and financing structures.
Qualifications & Experience
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or equivalent, with 6+ years of relevant tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and tax compliance obligations.
- Experience with US GAAP tax accounting (ASC 740) is essential; exposure to US GAAP needed.
- Prior experience in a multinational group or Big 4 / top-tier accounting firm.
- Solid understanding of international tax principles, including OECD developments (Pillar 2, BEPS, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
