To avoid loss of geometry

      Hi,

I am simulating TPMS(triply periodic minimal surfaces)-structure heat exchanger. My geometry is multiple unit cells (9x9x9mm) of gyroid in rectangular channel with in- and outlet extension as attatched.

I generated only solid part(gyroid structure) using MS Lattice at first and imported in Spaceclaim to conver to solid body. And then I generated fluid volume using extract volume by generating solid part of channel.

Using Fault Tolerant Meshing I got some final mesh in 4-5 Million Cell number. But I found loss of geometry at sharp edge in solid part or even at flat surface in fluid volume. Since I want to apply periodic boundary condition on the side wall, I want to avoid such loss. Although I tried extract edge by decreasing angle gradually, there was no difference. If I decrease cell size, then the size of loss also decrease. But not disappeared.

Can anyone help me to get rid of these losses. They are actually detected after surface meshing.

Or is it possible to apply periodic boundary condtion in solver with these losses?
Regarding to periodic boundary condition, I have one more question. Isn't it necessary to define periodic bc during meshing in the case of FTM?

Here is one more picture of loss of sharp edge
