Dear Team Ansys,
Â
I am a Bachelor’s student at Università di Roma Tre, currently working on my thesis.
Â
For my research activities, I need to use ANSYS CFX 19.2, since this is the only version available and supported in my university laboratories. Unfortunately, my models and project files are not fully compatible with newer releases, and therefore I am required to work with version 19.2.
Â
I would like to ask if it is possible to obtain access to the Student License for ANSYS CFX 19.2, or if you could provide me with a link to download the installer of this specific version, so that I can continue my thesis work without having to purchase a commercial license.
Â
Thank you very much for your help and support.
Gentile Team Ansys,

Forum ModeratorThere are no Student builds other than what you can see in current or previous releases: So 2025R2, 2025R1 and 2024R2 are all that is available at present. Given R19 is from about 2018 I'd be asking for some updates on the network. Your only "free" option for 19.2 is to VPN/dial into the campus system for either a remote desktop or to connect to the licence manager: that's for University IT to resolve.Â
Note, we can't sell software to an individual, but can work with your University to get you a local licence: you need to contact the University licence Admin to then talk to Ansys (Synopsys) or whoever provides the licence if it's a Partner. Academic licences are available that way.Â
