SubscriberHi all,Â
I am simulating alloy remelting process with alloy element evaporation. I would like to use solidification and melting model to describe the mushy zone. I define alloy as solvent and another alloy element as solute as a mixutre with using the species model. then I have following questions :
- where to set up the partition coefficient Ki, I cannot find it in GUI?
- where to set up the Eutectic mass fraction for each of component? i cannot find it in either materials for each fluid or for mixture.
- if my alloy does not have a specific eutectic temperature, can the solidus temperature of solvent be appromatiely used as eutectic temperture?
any answer will be great help.
Thanks in advance!

Forum ModeratorYou may want to read  https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/public/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v251/en/flu_th/flu_th_chp_melt_freeze.html The model isn't overly intelligent so if the alloy results in "odd" material properties you may need to use a UDF or rethink the approach.Â
