Meshing Rotor37 in Ansys Meshing

I have created a geometry for rotor 37 that I am using for a casing treatment study meaning no turbogrid so I am using ansys meshing. I have done very little meshing and I am wondering what the best practices/settings would be to get a reliable mesh for this model? I am mainly wondering about sizing, whether I should use capture curvature or capture near the blade in other ways, and how to use inflation. From what I have seen, I believe elements should be near a million and nodes around 200,000 to balance computing time as well as being detailed enough. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

I think you'd better start with the tutorials here https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/public/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/prod_page.html?pn=Meshing&pid=Meshing&lang=en  and check Learning for the course content. For CFD we're counting cells, and Student has a limit at around 1M.

Okay thank you, I will take a look. I am using full version as I am using a university computer.

Depending on the type of casing treatment you can also have a look at high fidelity meshing of TurboGrid. This will help to keep the mesh count low as only the area near the tip will use unstructured elements.
