SubscriberI’m working on a model where I’ve performed a Boolean subtraction (in DesignModeler) to remove internal components from a larger chamber. The Boolean appears to be successful as I can visually confirm the void region and there's only one solid body listed in the structure tree.
However, when I open the geometry in ANSYS Meshing, the internal surfaces from the subtracted region are still being meshed, even though the volume was removed.
What I have tried:
Performed Boolean subtraction properly (target body first, tool body second, “Keep tool body” unchecked)
Verified in section view that the void is present
Deleted/suppressed all leftover bodies
Confirmed that only one solid body exists
Exported the final result as a clean Parasolid (.x_t), and re-imported into a fresh Workbench project
Why is ANSYS Meshing still picking up and generating mesh on internal surfaces after Boolean subtraction?
Any suggestions on how to fully eliminate these would be appreciated.
