Linking User-Programmable Feature to MAPDL

This is the first time I am using user programmable features in Ansys Mechanical, so I am not very familiar with the framework.

I am having touble linking the example usermat.F user-programmable feature to MAPDL. I suspect this is because Ansys Mechanical requires no longer supported versions of the Intel Classic Fortran Compiler, as the example batch scripts (e.g. ANSCUST.bat) call the ifort compiler. Is there a way to link the UPF with MAPDL using the most recent ifx Fortran compiler release? Is there a better workaround to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

      Hi,

For linking the UPF, you have to use the exact Intel compiler version that is mentioned in the documentation for the version you are using. For example, if you are using version 2025 R2, then please check the documentation to see which Intel compiler version is required.
