SubscriberYou are going to want to make some simplifications to the geometry, as there is a lot of detail in that model. A student license won’t allow you to solve it in detail to get results that are reliable. But you may be able to see trends based upon the model. As an engineer we always have to make trade-offs, and here you have to trade some geometry detail to achieve a solution.
As for creating the mesh, what program are you going to do this? Are you going down the SpaceClaim/DesignModeler -> ANSYS Meshing path or are you going directly into Fluent Meshing? Or are you going to use CFX for this? One important thing to remember is thyt you will have to create domains for your rotating components and for your stationary components.
This is a not a simple project. Make sure you work though a couple of simplier problems if you are new to CFD.
