Illumination across a circular disc edge

Hi,

Consider a ring of 50mm outer dia and 25 mm inner dia. and a thickness of 5mm. I want to achieve a uniform lighting across the 5mm thickness. only this area is visible from outside.

I was thinking about placing LEDs (625nm) through out the inner surface (LED facing the ring)

My question is , How do I visualize/Analyze the irradiance across the ring edge.Though I use Polar detector, I am not confident about the results provided by that option.

Thank you for reaching out to us! Its a little bit hard to understand your system here, a screenshot might have been useful!

On the other hand, I think a good alternative for your case would have been to use the "object as detector" option. You can read more about that on these posts: How to view results for Object set as Detector?, A collection of information about "Objects as Detectors".
