I am simulating a WPT coil in Ansys Maxwell. It has Litz Wire.
The model was given as a STL file, I am able to setup the simulation but it runs out of memory.
I extracted the centerline of the cable an drew it myself inside Ansys (so the model is now composed of centerlines drawn by straight lines and then adding a circular crossection).
I am getting the following error (which I don't get with the STL file) : "Error in calculating the conduction paths. The most likely reason is that the mesh of the source conductor is wrong."
I have tried changing mesh settings (slide to make it finer and less fine), I pass the validation check, I can correctly identify the conduction paths. What could be going wrong here?
Thank you! I will be looking for any answers.Â

Ansys EmployeeIt's pointing at the conduction path, does it run through without error if you are using regular copper wire (not Litz)? -

SubscriberNo, using copper generates same error.

Ansys EmployeeThanks for trying that, it might relate to the geometry. Can you make all three coils closed loops?
