SubscriberHello. I plan to perform Romax NVH analysis using Ansys.
For NVH analysis, I need a substructure file that includes the mesh information of the housing model.
The mesh must include nodes defined at the center points of the bearing locations.
I am currently using an Ansys Student license.
My questions are below:I selected the bearing center points using Remote Displacement. Is this correct?
How do I create a substructure (.sub) file?

Hi
So in your modal say, insert condensed geom., then right mouse button click (RMB) on it, and insert a condensed part -
RMB, on the cond. part and choose detect cond. part interface (picks up contacts, joint connections, supports, displ.….)
Solve the condensed part (RMB and solve on it). Once done, rmb on it, and choose open solver files directory and find the .sub file there.
All the best
Erik
