The watertight geometry workflow in Ansys Fluent Meshing is a guided step-by-step process to create a simulation-ready volume mesh for a clean watertight geometry. In this workshop, we will explore the process of creating a CFD-ready mesh for conducting a conjugate heat transfer analysis of a model consisting of a printed circuit board (PCB) placed inside an enclosure. Specifically, we will highlight the addition of local size controls such as BOIs, curvature, and face sizing to various parts of the model using the Add Local Sizing task. We will also demonstrate how to add boundary layer mesh on all the wall surfaces in the fluid region, and only along the wall surfaces in that solid region that are at the solid-fluid interface.
