A circular waveguide is a hollow metal tube filled with some dielectric with a circular cross-section. It is commonly used to guide electromagnetic waves.
In this module, we will focus on the governing equations of the circular waveguide using Maxwell’s equations. This module covers why electromagnetic waves travel in different propagating modes inside the waveguides, why some modes do not exist in the circular waveguide, and why it acts as a high-pass filter.
