Consistent unit systems – Lesson 5

How to be consistent with unit systems in Ansys LS-DYNA® nonlinear dynamics structural simulation software?

A consistent unit system must be used in Ansys LS-DYNA software. Once you specify units for any three of the following quantities, all other units are determined.

1. Mass: The units for which are denoted as (M)
2. Length: The units for which are denoted as (L)
3. Time: The units for which are denoted as (T)
4. Force: The units for which are denoted as (F)
5. Pressure (Stress): The units for which are denoted as (σ)
6. Energy: The units for which are denoted as (W)
