Final Steps Before Running the Simulation in Ansys Fluent - Lesson 6

Before running a simulation, it is very important to perform simulation readiness checks to ensure the most appropriate setup is used for defining our CFD problem. The focus of this lesson is on the Activities and Run Calculation groups in the Solution tab of Ansys Fluent. The Autosave option helps us save the simulation files periodically, which can come in handy for post-processing purposes. We will also learn how to check the settings that have been modified from their default, display input summary of the simulation setup, and get the best practice recommendations before starting the simulation. Simulation run parameters that control the rate of convergence of a solution are also discussed here, which helps in better convergence.
