This lesson gives a brief overview of the course, the learning outcome, and course requirements and provides a short description of the simulation model used. Users are expected to go through the following mentioned technical requirements for this course.
If you like to learn more about Parametric Analysis in general and why doing them, you can join the course Parametric Analysis and Optimization.
Technical Requirements
LS-DYNA Distributed Memory Parallel installed
Set system or user environment variable ANSYS_SYSDIR=winx64 and restart optiSLang afterwards
For optiSLang <version> v231, v232, and v232 SP1 missing DLL for LS-EXTRACTOR: "libifcoremd.dll" and "libmmd.dll"
either add to the system/user environment variable PATH: \optiSLang\lib ,
or copy both DLL from this directory to <oSL_install_dir>\plugins\lsx\bin
<oSL_install_dir> usually is:
either "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\<version>"
or "C:\Program Files\Dynardo\ANSYS optiSLang\<version>"
CPU time per design: Approximately 6200 CPU seconds
Elapsed time per design using 4 cores: Approximately 25 minutes
Total running time for the whole study (70 designs) for serial execution: 1.5 days
Free disk space: Approximately 7.5 GB, approximately 5 GB (LSTC_D3DUMP=off)
