Microstrip Patch Antenna Array Metrics — Lesson 4

For applications like 5G, ADAS, and V2X, the antenna element type must be compact and low profile while having more directional gain, impedance bandwidth, beam steering capability, etc. In this video, we discuss antenna array metrics. The array factor is one of the array metrics which describes the far-field approximation of the array radiation pattern. The use of the finite array decomposition method in Ansys HFSS combines the near-field parasitic coupling effects and the far-field approximation of antenna arrays efficiently.
