Finding Modes
The Ansys Lumerical FDE solver solves the full vectorial Maxwell’s equations at a single frequency based on material and geometry specified by the user. In this video lesson, you will learn the basic procedures and settings for finding the eigenmodes of the device.
Bent and Helical Waveguides
The Ansys Lumerical FDE solver calculates the eigenmodes of a straight waveguide. However, it can also be used for the modal calculation of bent and helical waveguides. In this video lesson, we will show relevant settings and procedures for finding eigenmodes of such devices.
