Crystalline Material Structure — Lesson 2

Many materials, across material families, fall into a category known as crystalline. You may be familiar with some crystalline materials, like quartz.

But how do these materials differ from amorphous materials? And what do crystalline materials look like at the atomic scale?

This lesson will focus on defining the difference between crystalline and amorphous materials as well as defining what a unit cell is for a crystalline material. Use the guided student note sheet to follow along with the video.
