Geometry — Lesson 3

This lesson covers the process of defining the domain of a boundary value problem, specifically the fluid region surrounding an airfoil. The lesson explains how to use the Ansys Workbench™ simulation integration platform to create a fluid flow Ansys Fluent® fluid simulation software project, rename it for organization, and set the analysis type to 2D. The lesson also guides through the process of sketching the geometry, setting the dimensions, and creating a surface. The lesson further explains how to project the airfoil curve onto the surface, delete the inner surface, and set up the locations for applying boundary conditions. For instance, like creating an airfoil shape in Ansys Discovery™ 3D product simulation software using the NACA 0012 text file coordinates.
