Two-Way Coupling — Lesson 6

This lesson covers a two-way coupling simulation between the Ansys HFSS and Ansys Icepak in AEDT student version for ETM. It shows the HFSS model preparation steps to make the design ready for two-way coupling with Icepak. In this lesson, two-way coupling using both EMtoIcepak ACT extension and step by step methods are demonstrated.

This lesson also describes the key elements that are required to do two-way coupling, which includes the thermal modifier, temperature dependency, and thermal feedback that are required to be set up in Ansys HFSS. In this lesson, the setup required for two-way coupling in Ansys Icepak is also described. This lesson also emphasizes the rise in temperature due to the temperature dependency of the material used.
