The Design Process – Lesson 1

Many of you taking this course may already be familiar with the design process. So why spend time reviewing this? There are many ways of describing the design process. Our main reference textbook, “Materials Selection in Mechanical Design,” has a unique way of thinking of the design process. Since this will be referenced throughout the course, we will take the first lesson as a brief overview to get everyone on the same page.
