Vectors II - Lesson 3

Vectors are an important part of the language of continuum mechanics. Some examples include the forces, momentum, velocity, etc.

The basic properties of the vectors are:

  1. Multiplication by a scalar
  2. Vector addition

The identity element of vector addition and multiplication, as well as the null element of scalar multiplication and the null element of vector addition, are defined. The dot product of vectors as well as the cross product of the vectors will also be addressed in this lesson.
