In fluid physics, this creates a free-slip, insulated wall that mirrors the flow pattern on both sides.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"210\" data-end=\"448\">In the following video, we will focus on how the symmetry condition can be used for fluid simulations. Keep in mind, symmetry is only applicable to flat faces and can be applied to multiple faces on the same plane.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"vidyard_iframe\" src=\"\/\/play.vidyard.com\/2dwZFRxjDEkogztn6Jr7X4.html?\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<ul id=\"c_symmetry__ul_xwy_1tt_x4b\" class=\"ul\">\n<li class=\"li\">For solid-thermal physics regions, the\u00a0symmetry condition creates an insulated wall to mirror the expected pattern of the thermal solution on either side of it.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li\">For a structural physics region, the\u00a0symmetry condition creates a support normal to the face.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li\">For a topology optimization simulation, the\u00a0symmetry\u00a0condition ensures that the model is dimensionally reduced based on a mirror plane.
