Objective of this tool:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Create a deformed shape CAD model from base CAD model and .stl files for undeformed and deformed shapes.<\/p>\n

This tool can be used when applications within AEDT, such as HFSS, want to take into account deformed shapes calculated with FEM, such as Mechanical.<\/p>\n

Supported Software Versions and License<\/strong>
\nAnsys Discovery 2024R1 or later<\/p>\n

If used with Ansys Discovery 2025R1, Ansys Discovery Premium or higher of the license is required.<\/p>\n

How to install:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Save the script attached to this article in the following directory.
\nThen you can find “Warp bodies by 2 meshes” in “Warp” Tab.
\nC:\\Users\\<user name>\\AppData\\Roaming\\Discovery\\Published Scripts<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> If the downloaded file format is .zip, please manually change it to .dscript beforehand.<\/p>\n

How to use:<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the base CAD model, import .stl files for undeformed and deformed shapes and then click “Warp bodies by 2 meshes” in “Warp” Tab.
\nAfter clicking, follow the message at the bottom left of the screen.<\/p>\n

  1. Select the body(s) you want to deform \u2192 check.<\/li>\n
  2. Select the mesh before deformation as a faceted body (triple-click) \u2192 check<\/li>\n
  3. Select the mesh after deformation as facet body (triple-click) \u2192 check<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Then new bodies will be generated with the names like (base_name)_warped<\/p>\n
